A rough day on the Isle of Skye – magic, rain and real road trip moments
After a quiet night, we continued towards Portree. After a quick disposal stop, we drove along the A855 past Loch Fada and Loch Leathan. There we met a herd of Highland cattle directly on the road – with the Old Man of Storr in the background, it created a picture-book scene. Pure Scotland!
Despite the approaching rain, we dared to drive to the Quiraing Walk. The path narrowed, the weather got wilder. We started a small hike anyway. The view was breathtaking, the wind made filming almost impossible. After a muddy section, we turned back. Sometimes nature is just the boss.

The Fairy Glen – Stone Circles and Fairy Magic
On narrow roads, we continued to the Fairy Glen. The beautiful hilly landscape resembles a miniature highland. After a short walk, we reached the famous stone circle.
It is repeatedly rearranged – by people? Or by fairies? The magic of the place leaves much room for imagination. We let it affect us – quiet, green, and full of legends.
Meeting with friends in Drumnadrochit
On the way back, we left the Isle of Skye and drove towards Loch Ness. In Drumnadrochit, we met our friends Sandra & Bekim from BS Travel Jumper. Over a cup of coffee, we exchanged stories – a nice moment among like-minded people.
Night at the lighthouse
In the afternoon we reached Noss Head Lighthouse. The rugged coast, the wind and the light make this place special. We stayed overnight and enjoyed delicious fish with chips and broccoli right in the camper for dinner. That's how Scotland tastes.

Conclusion & Outlook
Part 4 of our Scotland trip is full of contrasts: calm and storm, magic and reality, rain and encounters.
In the next part, we visit Castle Sinclair Girnigoe, continue to Duncansby Head, and finally meet the puffins at Dunnet Head.
