HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Wickie on Tour did not start as a public project.

In the beginning, we simply wanted to capture our travels – for ourselves and for our family. Small videos, short clips, and memories that show where we were and what we experienced along the way.

It only turned into something more over time. Friends and family wanted to see the videos, shared them, and encouraged us to keep going.

Even today, that original idea remains: Our videos are meant to show what our travels are really like – calm, honest, and unscripted. Exactly as we experience them.

WHO WE ARE

We are Kirsten and Robin, and we travel through Europe in our motorhome, Wickie.

For many years, we have been drawn back to the road again and again – away from everyday life, away from fixed plans, and towards places where it is quiet. Places where you stop, not because you have to, but because it feels right.

With Wickie, we have found our way to discover Europe step by step – slowly, flexibly, and with an open eye for what is happening on either side of the road.

OUR WAY OF TRAVELING

We do not travel from highlight to highlight, nor do we follow fixed to-do lists.

We are interested in remote pitches, quiet side roads, and landscapes that offer room to breathe. Often, it is the small things that remain: a quiet morning, changing light, a road without traffic, or a place where you simply stay longer than planned.

These are the exact moments we want to capture – honest, unvarnished, and without frills.

WICKIE, OUR HOME ON WHEELS

For us, Wickie is more than just a motorhome.

It is a retreat, a viewpoint, a kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom all in one. Our mobile home, which gives us the freedom to decide spontaneously where the next day will lead.

We have set up Wickie to suit us: functional, cozy, and without unnecessary luxury. Just right for long days on the road, for changing weather, and for travels where not everything can be planned.

TRAVELING WITH A DOG: DAYO


Our Golden Retriever, Dayo, is an integral part of our travels and accompanies us through Europe in the motorhome.

With him, our travels have changed once again. The perspective slows down, breaks are more mindful, and many places gain significance that might have been overlooked before.

For us, traveling with a dog means consideration, planning, and suitability for everyday life – but also closeness, shared experiences, and many small moments that arise along the way.

On Wickie on Tour, we honestly show what traveling in a motorhome with a dog is really like – without sugarcoating, but with a lot of heart.

WHY WE SHARE THIS

Wickie on Tour is not a classic travel blog, nor is it a guide with set rules.

We don’t want to sell perfect routes or promise quick tips. Instead, we take you with us on our own paths – just as we experience them.
